PASSWORD RESET REQUEST

VERIFY YOU ARE USING CORRECT USER NAME OR EMAIL ADDRESS:

EMS Providers, Affiliated Members, and Physicians: Use your VA Certification Number as your Username.

Agency Update Users:
- Use first letter of first name and your full last name as Username (e.g Kenny Smith is ksmith)
OR
- Your email address (legacy users)

All other users: Use your email address as your Username.

PASSWORD RESET INSTRUCTIONS

1) When you submit your request, you will select either the email address or phone number associated with your account to receive a two-factor authentication.

2) Once authenticated, your password reset instructions will be sent to the email address associated with your EMS Portal Account.

3) Once you have submitted your request for a password reset, you will receive an email indicating your password has been reset. This is the system creating a temporary password.

4) You will then receive a second email with your temporary password. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not see this second email. It may be a couple of minutes after the initial email.

5) This temporary password is valid for 7 days. Use this temporary password to enter your EMS Portal Account. You will be asked to create a new password once you have gained access to the portal.

Note: If you do not know or can no longer access the email address associated with your EMS portal account or if you are unable to reset your password after submitting the password request, then please complete the Education Support Request to request additional assistance. Please allow up to 2 business days for a response and do not submit duplicate requests.

Health and Medical Emergency Response Teams

The Code of Virginia § 32.1-111.3.15 indicates the Office of EMS is responsible for “Establishing and supporting a statewide system of health and medical emergency response teams, including emergency medical services disaster task forces, coordination teams, disaster medical assistance teams, and other support teams that shall assist local emergency medical services agencies at their request during mass casualty, disaster, or whenever local resources are overwhelmed.”

The Virginia Office of EMS is currently reviewing its Health and Medical Emergency Response Team (HMERT) program. The agency is also researching its ability to create and manage task forces, coordination teams, and specialized strike teams for deployment during large scale events.
